![]() The book though a standalone read brings along as secondary characters from the previous titles which add to its richness and complexity. They decide to stay away from each other but once again that proves a little harder to do than say. The two plan a rendezvous where to their surprise they discover who they were unmasked. As faith is fickle and tricky Preston looking for a tryst after letting go of his mistress attends said ball and they end up having an amazing steamy time together. Infuriated Kat decides to live it up after her years of patiently waiting by attending a famed masquerade ball were finding lovers ends up often being the ultimate caveat. Kat on the other hand was more than ready to have said marriage get under way and upon informing Preston of this pretty much gets a reality check slapped in her face that this was a marriage that was and will never be happening. ![]() If anything, he’d have happily remained with his mistress if she hadn’t decided to demand more of him. Preston has a standing betrothal with Katherine Delafield arranged by their fathers that he has no intention of fulfilling. ![]() ![]() We first meet Preston Clarke and his charming suaveness in book 2 of the series and watching him find his lady is just as entertaining a story. The Bride Goes Rogue is book 3 of the Fifth Avenue Rebels by Joanna Shupe and my fave thus far. ![]()
